My Choice Disability Support was established in 2017. We determined that after working in the support sector in various roles for many years, we had the necessary skills and experience to start a support service. With NDIS rolling out in QLD, we decided this was the right time to start our service and became a registered NDIS provider.
1:1 Support:
This is a great way to improve our participants skills and identify opportunities/goals to work towards.
1:1 support is a flexible support type that may be tailored to suit a participant’s reasonable and necessary needs. Where able, improving a
participant’s independence is encouraged.
Groups:
This is a great way to improve our participants skills in a different format. Group programs provide opportunities
for community participation and to develop and maintain friendships.
In-home Respite:
To be negotiated on an individual basis. In-home respite can minimise disruption to one’s life when for
example, the main carer is needed elsewhere.
In-home Support:
This involves support staff coming to a participant’s home to provide support. In-home support assists
participants to maintain and/or further develop their independent home living skills.
Holidays:
To be negotiated on an individual basis, or alternatively, book in with structured events that we offer.
To provide quality care that enables choice and control; appropriate to participants needs, goals and abilities.
